Technical Explanation of the Physics
The patent-pending CVI-series EnviroConditioners are the most comprehensive approach to Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) available on the market, and the technologies used in this system are the best in the world. Three of these technologies were derived from NATO funded and/or military research laboratories and are under license.
There are 3 modules to all of the CVI-series EnviroConditioner, and their modularity is designed thusly allowing for continuous technological evolution :
Module 1 is the filter housing containing HEPA filters. Research by all of the leading medical institutions prove that the first step in IAQ is removing particulate matter from the air. Our filters are hospital grade.
Module 2 is the dehumidification, electronics, and blower housing. This computerized module controls humidity to the levels established by a remote Thermidistat. Research proves that molds require a minimum of 60% relative humidity (RH) to grow, and dust mites require 50% of more. The EPA attributes the overwhelming majority of asthma and allergies to exposure to molds in the indoor air. By controlling the humidity to 45%RH mold and dust mites cannot grow.
Module 3 is the reactor chamber, containing 4 separate technologies that symbiotically enhance the others.
- The first of these was developed by the US military to sterilize the air of all bacteria and viruses in field surgical units under battlefield conditions by using electromagnetic radiation, with a frequency of 118 petahertz, which disrupts the DNA of all biological agents. This frequency, above the range of visible light and just below x-rays, possesses the unique property of being able to penetrate all cell walls and cell membranes and destroying the DNA of all living organisms.
- Nuclear disintegration in the second phase molecularly dissociates organic gaseous compounds utilizing a semi-conductor such as that found in a computer chip. A semi-conductor is a type of crystal that allows the flow of electrons across its P-N junction only if a specific amount of energy is applied to the system, forcing an electron across this energy band-gap. When an electron is energized and transcends the band-gap, an electron hole is created. This electron hole has a positive charge, like the positive pole of a magnet. This electron hole attracts the negatively charged end of organic molecules, among other types. These types of molecules include the chemical warfare agents, like sarin nerve gas and mustard gas, as well as all of the volatile organic compounds (VOC's), like paint thinners, gasoline fumes, etc. These molecules are attracted to the electron holes, where they ionically bond. When energy is applied to the semi-conductor, an electron is stripped from the valence of the molecule, rendering it unstable. An harmonic vibration, similar to that of an MRI imaging machine, exacerbates the nuclear instability, causing these chemical compounds to literally self-destruct. A non-sacrificial catalyst, similar to the catalytic converter on a car, initiates and accelerates the rate of reaction, dramatically increasing efficiency of this process of nuclear disintegration. The highly charged surface of the catalyst tear apart nearby water molecules to create free hydroxyl radicals. These negative OH ions, a by-product of the reaction, oxidize organic molecules and are deadly to anthrax and other pathogens. Hydroxyl radicals are among the most reactive species known with an oxidizing potential of 2.80V. Ozone follows at 2.07V, hydrogen peroxide at 1.78V, and chlorine at 1.36V. Technically, organic molecules are mineralized via oxidation. Irrespective of the gasses entering the air processor, the typical effluent is carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), and water (H2O).
